My 30 Seconds

I am currently sitting in Pret in Covent Garden with a 99p filter coffee, because I told myself you don't deserve a more expensive drink if you get cut in the first round. I paid £20 for a train ticket to listen to an hour of perks of a job I didn't get, perform a 42 count movement combination that took 5 minutes to teach, and then got cut. Waste of time and money.  I had a dance teacher who said that she only had one rule about auditions. When you leave, give yourself 30 seconds to seethe, and question, and let the tears run. And then, stick your chin up, put your shoulders back and in the very wise words of Elsa, from Disney's Frozen, "Let it go!" For those of you who don't know, I am an aspiring actress. Birthday Reflection

Monday of last week, 3 rd July, marked the beginning of my 20 th year on this planet (double decades, woo!) and the day before, 2 nd July, marked the exact middle point of 2017, the beginning of the second half of the year. This led me to think about what my 20 years has taught me, if it has taught me anything, and what I would like the rest of the year, as well as the next 20 years to bring.  1.        Life is hard Granted some days are harder than others, and helpful methods such as yoga and meditation are the key to battling and controlling stress, but adult life is complicated. There is so much going on all the time, a never ending to do list, and the looming thoughts that you should be doing better no matter where you are or what you’re doing. 2.        Having a small group of best friends will always trump having a large group of just good friends I used to be very jealous of the large groups of friends at school who would always have the ‘gatherings’ at t
